Well, as I had hoped, my Journal making class is turning out to be heaps of fun and I am learning lots. I have made 2 of the 3 journals covered so far. I'd love to tell you how I did it, but you have to go and take Sue's class. Here is a link. I can't recommend it enough mind you! She even sets up a yahoo group so you can chat with her and the other students and everyone posts pictures of their work. It is great to see what other's are making too.

Here is a photo of my first journal. I covered it with the end piece of a sari I had hiding in my fabric stash. I had made a dress out of the main part of the sari for my older daughter Miss J and it was one of her all time favourite dresses. As this journal was for her, I thought it would be nice to use the coordinating fabric. She loves to write stories and draw pictures, so I coloured some of the internal pages and left others blank. There is a pocket on the inside of the front cover also.
Here are some pictures of my second journal. I love the cow print and it is oh so Miss M! As I was unable to incorporate pockets into the cover, I made them as separate pages. Being a preschooler, she is always bringing home beautiful pieces of her artwork and I never have anywhere to put them. Now we do and she loves to pull the book out and show off her art to anyone who will sit down and admire!
Stay tuned for the next journal, coming soon....[gallery columns="2"]
